This report summarizes current publicly available literature on the decolorization of commonly used dyes. The "Dye-Breaking Agents Database" gives qualitative results on the decolorization of 140 dyes using common oxidizing or reducing agents. The database is divided into three major sections: dye identification, manufacturers and trade names, and experimental conditions for decolorization. This report is a project of the Color Measurement & Control Task Group of the Pulp Bleaching Committee of TAPPI’s Pulp Manufacture Division.1996. 150 pages, spiral bound.
