Waterborne Epoxy Dispersions as Latex Modifiers, 1990 Nonwovens Conference Proceedings
Through proprietary technology, epoxy resins are now available as non-ionic vaterborne dispersions and can serve as alternatives to solvent based resin systems. These waterborne epoxies can be used in formerly non-traditional areas such as non-woven binders and fiber finishes to impart chemical and thermal resistance, strength, and adhesion properties. Waterborne epoxy resins can be used to modify other waterborne resins, such as latexes. This paper will present data describing the cured properties of waterborne epoxies and of latexes modified with waterborne epoxies.
