Progress in Paper Recycling (PPR) is a quarterly electronic journal exploring the science, technology, and economics of using scrap papers to manufacture recycled pulp, paper and paperboard products. PPR includes special features not available elsewhere, including the annual “Industry Institution Dialog,” which summarizes ongoing research projects and the research needs of the paper industry related to recycling. PPR’s “Conference Review” provides brief summaries of recycling-related papers presented at trade conferences during the prior six months, and the “Patents Review” feature discusses recently issued patents that impact the paper recycling industry.

How do I submit a paper for peer review?
Progress in Paper Recycling’s stringent peer-review process ensures that each issue contains the highest-quality, most relevant research. All papers submitted must pass peer review before publication. Not all papers submitted are accepted for peer review; not all papers peer reviewed are accepted for publication.

We value all contributions, and papers are reviewed by industry experts with experience in the paper's subject area. We do not charge authors a page charge for publishing their work, and we work closely with authors to make sure their work is presented accurately.

  • Before submitting a paper, please review the general author guidelines. These guidelines include information about word count and figures requirements, the submission process, and other important considerations.
  • Papers should be submitted by email to Mahendra Doshi, Executive Editor, at mahen@aol.com.
