IBBC 2017 Offers Students and Young Professionals Opportunities to Advance Their Careers

As the bioeconomy continues its rapid growth, more and more companies are looking to hire young professionals with knowledge of the latest technologies, processes and methods available in the industry.  TAPPI’s 2017 International Bioenergy and Bioproducts Conference (IBBC) offers young professionals and students the opportunity to gain that knowledge through its comprehensive technical program led by experts in the industry as well as gives them the opportunity to network with industry leaders and gain valuable exposure.

IBBC 2017 will be held in Norfolk, Virginia on November 7-9, 2017.  This well-regarded, comprehensive technical conference focuses on the latest technologies available using renewable materials from biomass to produce chemicals and fuels to support the bioeconomy.

IBBC draws industry professionals from around the world eager to discuss the latest issues affecting the industry as well as to learn more about new technologies, processes and methods available.  Young professionals and students attending the 3-day conference can not only gain technical knowledge about the industry but also have the chance to network with their peers and industry leaders at the Young Professionals Mixer which will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 6:30pm.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in the Student Poster Session and Competition and the Rapid Fire Showcase where they can get industry feedback on their projects as well as gain great exposure to leading companies in the industry.  Students interested in being part of IBBC should submit their poster abstract by August 31, 2017.  View the Student Poster Invitation to Present.
