AAAF Seeks Nominations for Mechanical Pulping Award

Arne Asplund Award Foundation (AAAF) is seeking nominations for consideration for the Arne Asplund Mechanical Pulping Award.  The candidate should have made an outstanding contribution, preferably during the preceding five years, to the research into and/or the industrial development of high yield pulping, i.e. mechanical or chemi-mechanical pulping, utilizing mechanical defibration techniques and/or new applications using high yield pulps.

 The AAAF would appreciate written nominations, containing a brief CV, motivation and the achievements of the candidates and a list of publications. Kindly send your nominations to Göran Bengtsson at g.bengtsson@telia.com, no later than January 20, 2018. 
 
The Arne Asplund Mechanical Pulping Award promotes the development of new technology for the manufacture of high-yield pulp. It is awarded to a person or persons in recognition of outstanding achievement in research and development of mechanical pulping technology.

The Arne Asplund Mechanical Pulping Award Foundation was established in 1985 to commemorate Dr. Asplund's contribution to the pulp and paper industry worldwide. The Award was made possible through a donation from Valmet to the foundation in 1985.
