The 2009 Flexible Packaging Symposium is a two-day event focusing on the latest business and technology developments for sustaining efficient operations and developing products the marketplace wants and needs. Held at two locations in India, the symposia are designed for international packaging professionals ranging from engineers and research staff to Managing Directors and other high-level decision makers.
Developed by TAPPI’s PLACE Division, PFFCA and SIES-SOP -- the symposium co-sponsors, the symposium programme will have a special emphasis on technologies and production processes impacting extrusion coating, film extrusion, and end-use applications. Experts from around the world will lead sessions focused on markets, equipment and processes, and multi-layer structures.

Paper, Film & Foil Converters’ Association is an all India body representing various sectors manufacturing packaging material both in flexible and folded carton sectors and manufacturers of basic inputs to the packaging industry. Established in 1965, as All India Paper and Allied Products Manufacturers’ Association, the same was renamed in 1995 as Paper, Film & Foil Converters’ Association (PFFCA).
The South Indian Education Society - School of Packaging (SIES-SOP) is one of the oldest educational societies in Mumbai and was pioneered in 1932. SIES-SOP endeavors to groom professionals dedicated to the cause of developing packaging that is functionally efficient with quality parameters conforming to the international standards, while being cost effective and environment friendly.
