Overview:
TAPPI’s 2010 Shipping, Receiving and Warehousing Workshop will gather a dedicated group of publishers, carriers, mills and printers to explore new ways to reduce in-transit damage to rolls of paper. Hear presentations from publishers, carriers and paper mills as well as an update from the VoIPcare Technology on their pilot program for collecting real-time inspection data at each point in the transit process.
At this workshop you will learn:
- Development of industry standards for shipping and handling paper rolls
- Identification of roll damage as early as possible
- Building a "lessons learned" capability to identify and reduce the root cause of damage
- Minimizing the impact on operational performance
