Tom JuliaTom Julia, President of the Composite Panel Association (CPA)

Hear Mr. Julia's Keynote Address during the luncheon on Tuesday, August 19, 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
"Advancing the Wood-Based Decorative Surfacing Industry: CPA Initiatives and Industry Challenges"

Mr. Julia is President of the Composite Panel Association (CPA), a position he has held for the past seven years. Mr. Julia joined CPA in 1994, heading up its marketing and communications activities. He previously served as President of Dominion Consulting, a political consulting and lobbying firm, and spent ten years in the natural gas industry managing government affairs, alternative fuels and pipeline safety issues.

CPA, formed in 1960 and based in Leesburg, Virginia, represents companies responsible for 95% of the particleboard, MDF and hardboard manufactured in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. In 2004, the association assimilated the Laminating Materials Association and has become the primary trade association for the wood-based decorative surfaces industry.

Workshops
In addition, two in-depth workshops will be offered on Wednesday, August 20. The first will focus on Laminate Flooring, specifically the affect of paper expansion. The second workshop will focus on Marketing for both residential and commercial flooring. Don't miss this important gathering!
