Student Members
TAPPI and its Local Sections sponsor Student Chapters located on college campuses with curricula relevant to forestry, paper, packaging and related industries. Student Chapters offer students an opportunity to meet their peers, interact with future employers and industry veterans, tour various facilities, and contribute to technical programs.
TAPPI Student Member benefits include access to TAPPI resources including publications, newsletters and E-Library; leadership opportunities; scholarship opportunities; career resources; and substantial discounts on registration fees for TAPPI events. Those in their first year of industry employment are allowed to maintain their membership at the student rate to help during career transition and provide valuable access to TAPPI knowledge and networks.
Each year, the TAPPI/PIMA Student Summit gives students a chance to meet peers from other student chapters and attend sessions focused on leadership, career development, industry topics, and other valuable skills for those entering paper and packaging careers.
