Student Summit
The TAPPI-PIMA Student Summit is an annual event designed to provide students interested in pulp, paper, packaging and allied industries direct interaction with industry leaders. The Student Summit is an excellent venue for undergraduate and graduate students to learn about opportunities after graduation as well as some of the key challenges and opportunities existing in the industry today.
The Summit is a great opportunity to meet peers from other student chapters and universities from the U.S. and abroad while attending sessions focused on leadership, career development, and current industry topics and trends.
Past topics have included:
- State of the Industry
- Networking
- Transitioning to the Workforce
- Recruitment Tips
- New/Emerging Technologies
- Career Skills
The Deborah Ann McNutt Memorial Scholarship is available to support attendance at the Student Summit. Ashland Hercules Water Technologies has pledged $2000 per year through 2011 in support of this special scholarship for student attendees. The funds will give four students $500 each to support their attendance at the Student Summit. Ashland Hercules Water Technologies has created this new scholarship to both underscore its support of the Student Summit and to honor the memory of Deborah Ann McNutt. Recipients must be students in good standing in an industry related academic discipline; currently active in PIMA or TAPPI; and registered to attend the Student Summit. Contact
