Progress in Paper Recycling
Progress in Paper Recycling (PPR) is an electronic journal exploring the science, technology, and economics of using scrap papers to manufacture recycled pulp, paper and paperboard products. As of June, 2011 PPR was incorporated into TAPPI Journal, TAPPI’s monthly research publication. PPR content is exclusive and will appear periodically in TJ using the distinctive PPR logo.
Founded in 1991 by Mahendra Doshi, Ph.D., formerly of the Institute of Paper Chemistry in Appleton, many major innovations in recycling technology have been described in PPR. Always a loyal TAPPI member, Mahendra donated PPR to TAPPI in 2007 and TAPPI has been publishing it ever since. Mahendra and PPR's Editor Carl Houtman, Ph.D., both serve on TAPPI Journal’s Editorial Board.
