Status Reports for Standards and Technical Information Papers
The links below are to pdf files for Standards or TIP status reports for current open Work Items or published documents and their next review date.
SPECIAL NOTE: TAPPI is experiencing problems with the computer program that used to run Open status reports. Open status reports have been manually created for each Subject Category. Please read the explanations below.
In accordance with the Standards and TIPs guidelines, “ownership” of each document is held by either the Standard-Specific Interest Group (SSIG) for Standards or the Working Group for TIPs. Technical committees are the resource for individuals with technical expertise to participate in SSIGs and Working Groups and will regularly discuss and/or coordinate the review and development of these documents.
PLEASE NOTE: Although Subject Categories often align with committee names, this is not always the case. Committees may merge, change their names for a variety of reasons, or have an interest in other TIPs originally developed by other groups, but the Subject Categories do NOT change. For example:
- "Pulp Properties" and "Chemical Properties" are separate Subject Categories, even though the committees with those names have merged into one (Pulp and Chemical Properties Committee)
- "Asset Management" is the current name of merged committees "Project Management," "Process Engineering" and "Maintenance and Mill Engineering," but the Subject Categories will remain as "Project Management," "Process Engineering" and "Maintenance and Mill Engineering."
- Although the Fiber Raw Material Supply Subcommittee has agreed to review TIP 1102-04, which was initially developed by the Electrical Engineering Committee, the Subject Category is still "Electrical Engineering" and will be found listed there.
The information posted on this page is current as of April 6, 2012. These documents on the web are updated approximately every six months. If you would like to receive a more current copy of your group’s status report, please contact the Standards Department at TAPPI (standards@tappi.org).
Published Documents: Listed here are complete reports showing documents and their upcoming review status for all subject categories. Scroll through each document to find the categories that are of interest to you and your technical committee.
