Verso Corp., Memphis, Tenn., USA, this week announced that it has sold one of its subsidiaries, Verso Androscoggin Power LLC (VAP), to Eagle Creek Renewable Energy LLC, Morristown, N.J., for a purchase price of approximately $62 million in cash.
SCA, Sweden, and Fotografiska (The Swedish Museum of Photography) in Stockholm have signed a partnership agreement aimed at highlighting how hygiene and health affect people’s well-being. The collaboration is aligned with SCA’s focus on hygiene, health, well-being and its commitment to sustainability, as well as with Fotografiska’s “Fotografiska for Life” platform – photo exhibitions and dialogs that highlight challenges for society and people around the world.
Stora Enso’s Sunila Mill in Kotka, Finland, has placed a repeat order for an IQ Process and Quality Vision system (PQV) from Valmet, Finland. By monitoring dirt and shives on the mill's No. 6 pulp drying line, the system optimizes both end product quality and line efficiency. The new system will be started up in November 2016. Valmet supplied a similar PQV system for the mill's No. 4 pulp drying line in 2015.
