Resolute Announces Indefinite Idling of Thorold Newsprint Mill (3/13/2017)

Resolute Forest Products Inc., Montreal, Que., Canada, this week announced the indefinite idling of its paper mill in Thorold, Ont., Canada. The facility, which employed more than 100 workers, has an annual production capacity of approximately 197,000 metric tons of newsprint on one machine using 100% recycled furnish.

PAPCEL to Supply New Rewinder, Refurbish Existing Unit for Partner in India (9/26/2016)

PAPCEL, Czechoslovakia, will supply a rewinder to a strategic partner in the Indian market. PAPCEL signed a contract for delivery of the new rewinder and refurbishment of the existing rewinder, according to a report by Lesprom Network. Delivery of the rewinders follows an existing project for the partner, where PAPCEL is carrying out a complete refurbishment of two paper machines.

Hayat Kimya Starts up New Valmet Tissue Machine in Egypt (3/02/2017)

Hayat Kimya's Tissue Machine (TM 6) started up at the company's new mill in Egypt in mid-January. It marked the sixth successful startup based on the same team from Valmet and Hayat Kimya working together in cooperation. Valmet has previously installed five new machines and provided an extensive rebuild of Hayat's TM 1 in Izmit, in Turkey. The new line in Egypt will add 70,000 metric tons of high quality tissue to the company's current production of facial, toilet, and towel tissue.

SCA Joins Supply Network of Premier Healthcare Group Purchasing Organization (9/29/2016)
