Trees - Green Energy Source for the
21st Century
Biomass is the most important renewable energy source used in
the world today, especially biomass from forests and agricultural
residues. TAPPI's IBBC
will explore the use of woody biomass for bioenergy and bioproducts
and its benefits to the global environment, forest landowners,
our economy, and society.
Additionally, the Conference explores opportunities to use existing
pulp and paper industry assets, which are well positioned
to supplement transportation fuel production.
Why Attend IBBC?
You will hear about the latest bioenergy developments and be able
to network with technologists, entrepreneurs, and pioneers in this
new trend. This Conference is designed to provide a clear understanding
of the technologies, economics, and management mindset needed
in the next five years to produce transportation fuel from cellulosic
sources.
The program includes:
- Latest biorefinery technologies and emerging markets
- Legal, legislative, and investment challenges
- Biorefineries underway and in operation

The conference is held immediately following TAPPI's
EPE Conference which highlights the latest in engineering
pulping and environmental technologies in the pulp and paper industry.
Discounted registration rates are available for both events, with
5 sessions of shared content between the two!
International co-sponsorship from APPITA (Australia), IPPTA (India), and Japan TAPPI ensures a global audience to learn exchange information and comparative experience.
