Comments:
Offers tours of two larger state forests (Blackbird and
Redden). There are no restrictions, but tour groups must
contact the offices to make an appointment. The DDA staff
also provides forestry presentations and programs in local
schools. Also participates in an Arbor Day program, featuring
a poster contest and free tree seedlings, a fire prevention
program, Project Learning Tree activities, and also many
fairs, open houses, etc. DDA also plans to open outdoor
forestry educational trails soon at its two larger state
forests as well as educational centers.
