Offers tours and presentations on recycling to kids K-college
age. Tours and presentations last one hour. The tour of
the Salt Lake Valley Solid Waste Management Facility (Landfill)
focuses on how a modern, state-of-the-art landfill is built
and operated. The Salt Lake Valley Recycling Information
Office also offers presentations to school classrooms on
recycling and landfilling. Presentations are tailored to
the specifications and needs of the class. Topics covered
are recycling trends, the importance of recycling, and how
easy it is to recycle. A recycling resource library which
consists of videotapes, books, magazines, trade journals
and newsletters is also available for public use at the
Recycling Information Office.
