Paper Is a Piece of Our Lives
There is perhaps no other
industry in the world that touches mankind in so many different
ways. Practically every moment of every day, we find ourselves
relying on products made from pulp and paper.
Most of these products are easy to recognize,
such as computer paper, newspapers, paper towels, corrugated
boxes and grocery bags. But what about coffee filters, postage
stamps, money, milk cartons, baseball cards, and pizza boxes?
Products made from pulp chemicals include cologne, shoe polish,
cosmetics, toothpaste, roofing, food flavorings and detergents,
just to name a very few. In fact, over 12,000 different kinds
of items are made from paper and its byproducts!
