Jim Macnamara is a senior packaging engineer with Foster Farms. He has nearly 30 years’ experience in the packaging industry on both the converter and end user side. A TAPPI member since 1999, Jim is the incoming chair of TAPPI’s International Flexible Packaging and Extrusion Division (IFPED).

Warren Durling is an Associate Research Fellow for Clorox Services Company in the GLAD Division. He works on various consumer food storage and trash bag products, including Glad Zipper bags, GladWare containers, and Press ‘n Seal adhesive wrap. He is currently responsible for packaging design and implementation across the Glad portfolio of products. Warren has 40 years’ experience in the industry and has been a TAPPI member for 29 years, serving various roles in the Flexible Packaging Division, including Division Chair.  He is currently the Product Resources Team Leader for IFPED.

Honghi Tran, Ph.D., TAPPI Fellow, is a professor emeritus for the University of Toronto and was the director of the University’s Pulp and Paper Centre. A TAPPI member since 1980, Tran received TAPPI’s highest honor, the Gunnar Nicholson Gold Medal, in 2017. He serves as the lead instructor of the TAPPI Kraft Recovery Operations Course.

Martin Hubbe, Ph.D., is Professor and Buckman Distinguished Scientist at North Carolina State University. Marty teaches and conducts research related to the colloidal chemistry of cellulosic materials, with a particular focus on papermaking wet-end chemistry. He has conducted research related to paper strength, electrokinetic tests, flocculation, and dewatering. He has also chaired TAPPI’s Introduction to Wet-End Chemistry Course and conducted university courses for on-campus students and distance-education.

Scott Rosencrance, is currently heading up the Marketing and Technical applications organization for Pulping in the America’s at Kemira. In addition to his work with Kemira, Scott has served as an adjunct assistant professor for the University of Minnesota’s Department of Bioscience Engineering. Additionally, he has been a member of the Chemistry Advisory Board for Fairmont State University, as well as Kennesaw State University’s Biochemistry and Chemistry Advisory Board. He is the author of more than 75 patents and publications in a variety of international journals about physical chemistry, colloids, and surfaces, in large part related to pulp and paper.
