Welcome to our Tissue Division page. The Division consists of hundreds of technical professionals who work in the manufacture and converting of tissue products around the world. The Division's goal is to create a more knowledgeable tissue workforce in all markets through education, exchange of peer-reviewed, noncommercial technical information and networking. New members are always welcome.

Hands-On Paper Making Course - April 2019-University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, open

This two-day class features morning classroom sessions followed by afternoon sessions of guided exercises operating the UW-Stevens Point Fourdrinier pilot paper machine. This combination has proven to be a highly effective and enjoyable way to gain fundamental knowledge of the commercial papermaking process.

This training explores the converting processes of rolled products and how the quality and variability of tissue parent jumbo reels and soft rolls impact the runnability of these complex lines.

Hands-on Workshop for Hygiene Tissue Basics-Raleigh, North Carolina, USA, open

The Hands-On Workshop for Hygiene Tissue Basics will provide a broad overview of concepts and unit operations involved in the manufacturing of hygiene tissue: Fiber for Tissue, Pulping, Bleaching, Refining, Recycling, Tissue Making and Converting.

This workshop has been carefully designed for individuals without formal training in tissue manufacturing or new to the industry. This is an excellent opportunity to understand basic concepts, unit operations involved in tissue manufacturing, combining theory and practice.
