Cydney has been involved in the paper industry since studying Pulp and Paper Science at North Carolina State University. Her first internship with Domtar Paper in Bennettsville, SC sprouted her interest in paper finished quality. She went on to intern with Ashland Water Technologies, now Solenis, in the Industrial Water Division before graduating from NC State with a BS in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Pulp and Paper Science. Post-graduation, she spent a couple of years on an innovation team at Georgia Pacific where she focused on product development and process improvement utilizing statistical process control. This led her to pursue and advanced education in Data Analytics at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she completed her Master’s degree. She joined Solenis’ digital solutions group in early 2018 and she is responsible for developing predictive and prescriptive analytical solutions for the paper industry and plays a vital role in the development of data-focused solutions across Solenis.
