TAPPI's International Research Management Committee Fall 2023 Meeting

TAPPI’s International Research Management Committee is a group of chief technology officers and academics who lead the research and development efforts of the pulp, paper, and packaging industry. The purpose of this prestigious committee is to enhance the management of research and development in the pulp and paper industry. The committee provides a forum in which research managers may share its experiences and problems in areas of mutual interest.

 
Mission To further advance the capabilities of the members of TAPPI's Research Management Committee to lead with increasing effectiveness the technology efforts of their organizations, With the objectives of: - Improving the competitiveness of their respective companies, - Increasing the value of research and education in their respective institutes, With an overall purpose of strengthening the long-term viability of the forest products industry through implementation of new technology
 
 
Not a member?   Membership in the TAPPI’s IRMC is by invitation only.  Eligible individuals include leaders in research and technology for the pulp, paper, and packaging industry.

Dr. Alexander Koukoulas, Director, AFRY, will discuss emerging topics in sustainability, the importance of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and how mills can both mitigate carbon dioxide emissions and increase profitability.

 

Jose Gonzales, Director, AFRY, will look at opportunities in the packaging sector and how companies are working to expand their sustainable product portfolios.
