The End Is Near – PEERS Early Bird and Hotel Deadlines End This Week
In one month, pulping and paper professionals from around the world will gather in St. Louis, MO for TAPPI’s Pulping, Engineering, Environmental, Recycling and Sustainability (PEERS) Conference. The Conference, October 27-30, 2019, focuses on the latest advances in technology, as well as fundamental process knowledge and operational issues mills face each day. It is considered a key training resource for mills and other industry professionals.
Early Bird Discount Ends October 3rd
PEERS offers an Early Bird discount to attendees that register by October 3, 2019. Mills, industry professionals, and academics are encouraged to register by the Thursday deadline to qualify for this significant savings. Register here. Mills receive a special mill discount.
Hotel Room Discount Ends October 3rd
PEERS attendees can stay at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch, the same location as the Conference, for a discounted room rate. Attendees must book their room before the discount ends on October 3rd. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown St. Louis near the iconic Gateway Arch grounds and scenic riverfront.

PEERS technical program includes seven tracks emphasizing new methods and best practices to help mills optimize operations and reach their sustainability goals. Popular sessions and events include:
- Four Workshops provide hands-on experience: Bleach Plant Operations, Brown Stock Washing, Project Management and an Introduction to Lean Six Sigma.
- Hot Topics Breakfasts focus on current operational issues.
- Five Panel Discussions address new solutions and best practices.
- Keynote Speaker, Angie Slaughter, shares her insight into Anheuser-Busch’s sustainability efforts.
- PaperChase Fun Run/Walk gives back to the industry with scholarships for students.
Some sessions and special events require advance registration and fill up quickly. Attendees should sign-up for their desired events as soon as possible.
PEERS is co-located with the International Bioenergy & Bioproducts Conference (IBBC) and 12th Research Forum on Recycling. Attendees can attend all three events for only one registration fee.
