NETInc Keynotes Share Insights into Growing Advanced Textile Market

In one month, nonwovens professionals and academics from around the world will gather at NETInc 2019 (Innovative Nonwovens Conference), May 5-8, 2019 in Indianapolis, IN, USA, to share and discuss new technologies, best practices and key issues affecting the industry. Attendees will hear experts present their latest findings during the peer-reviewed technical program as well as have the opportunity to attend keynote presentations from two industry leaders on the impact of advanced textiles on nonwovens.

Amit Kapoor, president and CEO of First Line Technology and chair of the Advanced Textile Products Division, Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI), will present “Nonwovens and Advanced Textiles Innovations to Commercialization Pathway.” His presentation will provide insight into how textile products have gone from the lab to life saving tools and are being used by first responders and the military to protect lives from harsh deadly environments. Attendees will hear about textile innovation milestones within the commercialization process as well as learn lessons from past successes and failures and how to rebound from those failures.

Andrew Aho, vice president of New Business Development at Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) will present “Advanced Textiles with Nonwovens in the U.S. Market.” Attendees will get a definition of the U.S. Advanced Textile (AT) market and the key market segments within it including: performance clothing, composites, protective clothing, coatings, and smart fabrics/textiles. Andrew will also share his insight into the state of the U.S. AT market, the percentage breakout of market segment shares in the AT market, market growth, trends, opportunities, threats, the directions of nanofiber applications in nonwovens, and a market outlook.

Organized by TAPPI’s Nonwovens Engineers and Technologists (NET) Division, NETInc is the only nonwovens technical conference developed by engineers and technologists to help individuals understand the science and how it impacts the market. The comprehensive, peer-reviewed technical program includes sessions on new products, sustainability technologies, process advancements, nano- and micro-technologies, and functional finishes. NETInc is co-located with TAPPI’s PaperCon 2019 Conference as well as the International Paper Physics Conference (IPPC), RPTA Production-Technical Seminar, and TAPPI/IDCON Reliability & Maintenance.
