The Evolution of Reel Statistical Methods – Webinar

Wednesday, December 16th | 1:30 PM

There are two TAPPI publications that give methods to calculate variance of measured sheet properties:

T 545: Cross-machine grammage profile measurement (gravimetric method)

TIP 1101: Calculation and partitioning of variance using paper machine scanning sensor measurements

The two methods do not produce the same results. In this presentation, we will review, compare and contrast the two methods.
