The Case for Registering Today
Focusing on the Vision of Packaging and Converting: Seeing Beyond 2020, the conference’s timely content delves into many contemporary issues facing the industry. Tailored to meet growing needs across the entire supply chain, attendees will learn about technical advancements in extrusion coating and laminating to creating a more sustainable end product. Specific topics out of the nearly 30 scheduled range from integrating paper fibers into flexible packaging designs, new developments in PET replacement film, and novel paper-based disposable cup technology, to machinery solutions for film sustainability, barrier challenges, and extrusion coating versus adhesive lamination.

The circular economy and sustainability also factor prominently in the overall program, addressing not only technical challenges but also consumer perception, the journey to commercialized recycling and the war on plastics and packaging waste. Two impactful keynote addresses examine the challenges today’s businesses face from both a regulatory and industry perspective.

Presentations are grouped into five key areas:
» Consumer Perspectives on Plastic Packaging
» Technical Advances in Recycling
» Millennial Perspectives on Sustainability
» The Circular Economy for Multilayer Plastic Webs
» Advancements in Coating, Recycling, Equipment and Barrier Performance
