Meet the Presenter
Dr. Brian George brings a wealth of knowledge about the nonwovens industry. He has a Bachelor of Science in Textiles and a PhD in Fiber & Polymer Science, both from NC State University. Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. George has been an Associate Professor of Engineering as well as the Director of the Nonwovens Lab and Director of Graduate Engineering Programs at Thomas Jefferson University (formerly known as Philadelphia University) since 1999. He has taught classes in many disciplines, such as nonwovens, testing of textiles, aspects of textile production and characterization, and materials science. The majority of Dr. George’s research focuses on nonwovens and use of non-traditional materials in textile applications.
