Help Shape the Industry—20 Minutes at a Time

Did you resolve to make a difference in 2022? Consider participating in TAPPI Standards. You can make a difference in our industry in 20 minutes or less.

Each TAPPI Standards Test Method has a Standard Specific Interest Group (SSIG) made up of industry professionals who regularly review and vote on that Test Method. Each of the more than 240 SSIGs must have a minimum of 10 volunteers to conduct a valid review. There are currently 10 standards in the areas of Chemical Properties, Fillers and Pigments, and Optical Properties that need one volunteer to complete a review cycle.

The Standard-Specific Interest Group (SSIG) T604 cm-09 Sulfur Dioxide in Sulfite Cooking Liquor needs five or more volunteers.  

Participation requires 20 minutes or less over the course of a year. There are no obligated meetings to attend and it’s an easy way to impact the industry while sharing your technical knowledge and growing as an influencer.
