Welcome to our Tissue Division page. The Division consists of hundreds of technical professionals who work in the manufacture and converting of tissue products around the world. The Division's goal is to create a more knowledgeable tissue workforce in all markets through education, exchange of peer-reviewed, noncommercial technical information and networking. New members are always welcome.

The Tissue Division's newest event is  TissueCon, a conference and trade fair jointly organized by TAPPI and Fastmarkets RISI to provide the highest quality business insight and technical information available. Also proceeding TissueCon is the Yankee Dryer Fall Meeting

The Technical Committees of the Tissue Division work together throughout the year to solve problems, develop technical papers, plan conference sessions, and more.

Drenik ND Serbia Starts up New Recard Turnkey Tissue Plant (10/02/18)
This turn-key plant is the third one supplied by Recard (Italy) to Drenik ND (Serbia) after PM 1 (2004) and PM 2 (2008). An identical plant will be supplied to Drenik Hungary in 2019.
Sofidel Opens Largest Global Manufacturing Plant in Ohio (10/05/18)
Italian tissue paper manufacturer Sofidel on Wednesday (Oct. 3, 2018) opened a 280-acre plant, its first integrated paper plant built from the ground up in the U.S. Sofidel's new Circleville, Ohio, USA plant is one of its most technologically and environmentally advanced tissue paper plants in the world, with innovative machinery that increases both the quality of its products and the energy efficiency of its operations.
Crecia-Kasuga Started up a Valmet Advantage Tissue Machine in Japan (09/12/18)
Crecia-Kasuga Co., Ltd has successfully started up a new tissue line, jointly delivered by Valmet (Helsinki, Finland) the group announced publicly on Aug. 28, 2018, and Kawanoe Zoki Co., Ltd., at the company's new production facility in Fuji, Japan.
Celupaper S.A. Orders Another Toscotec MODULO-PLUS Tissue Machine in Nicaragua (09/11/18)
Toscotec (Marlia, Italy) announced on Aug. 30, 2018 it will supply a new MODULO-PLUS tissue line to Celupaper S.A. of the South American group Grupo Vual, based in Argentina. The MODULO-PLUS machine - PM5 - is scheduled for delivery in autumn 2019 and it will be installed at Papelera, Nicaragua mill.
Papelera San Andrés de Giles to Install Advantage DCT Tissue Line (8/10/18)
New tissue machine will have a width of 2.8 meters and a design speed of 2,000 m/min. It will add 35,000 metric tpy of capacity to the mill’s current production of high-quality facial, toilet tissue, and kitchen towels.
CMPC Tissue to Install Valmet Advantage Tissue Line in Argentina (8/10/18)
Planned startup of the new production line is in the fourth quarter of 2019, and it will add more than 50,000 metric tons of high quality toilet and towel grades to the company's annual production.
