Current issues in the forest products industry, such as green building and product testing, are also covered in the course.
Instructors include subject matter experts:
- Ms. Misty Booth
- Dr. Fred Franca
- Dr. Frank Owens
- Dr. Beth Stokes
- Dr. Hyungsuk “Thomas” Lim
- Dr. Rubin Shmulsky
As a value-add, course participants will develop skills through hands-on exercises and sessions in MSU’s state-of-the-art Forest Products and Wood Science Learning Center. In addition, attendees will receive an experiential understanding of wood processing when they tour the Southeastern Timber Products Lumber Company and Sawmill in Ackerman, MS.
