Barca de Mexico Brings Technology to the Forefront
Barca de Mexico successfully automated complex 4-cell auto bottom box production by installing a J&L Mark 5 XT Specialty Folder-Gluer, replacing manual folding processes that required extensive labor. The corrugated packaging plant in Querétaro worked with Alliance Machine Systems to evaluate, implement, and train operators on the new folder-gluer technology. After six months of operation, the automated system delivers consistent high-speed production, improved quality control, and enhanced capacity without additional staffing. This case demonstrates how targeted equipment investment and strategic vendor partnerships can resolve production bottlenecks while positioning plants for advanced corrugated manufacturing capabilities.
