Maximizing Process Efficiency with Advanced Vacuum Systems
Paper manufacturers facing rising energy costs and sustainability pressures can dramatically reduce vacuum system energy consumption by up to 80 percent through advanced TURBAIR blower technology. Unlike traditional water ring pumps, these friction-free vacuum systems consume 30 percent less energy while maintaining high efficiency under partial loads through frequency-controlled drives. The technology eliminates sealing water requirements and enables waste heat recovery of up to 80 percent of input energy for process heating applications. With single-stage RT and multi-stage RC configurations offering capacities from 180 to 3,000 m3/min, plant managers can optimize dewatering operations that typically account for 20-25 percent of total electrical consumption in paper production.
