Learn from the Experts Driving Wet End Chemistry Innovation

When it comes to advancing your knowledge and improving results on the machine floor, the value of expert instruction can’t be overstated. The Introduction to Wet End Chemistry Course brings together a distinguished group of instructors whose combined experience spans decades of innovation, leadership, and technical excellence in the pulp and paper industry.

Leading the course is Larry Anker, Ph.D., a Senior Director at Solenis and a TAPPI Fellow. With a strong academic foundation that includes degrees in chemistry, mathematics, and physics from Washington and Lee University, along with a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Penn State University, Larry has built a career centered on advancing wet end chemistry practices and helping mills achieve measurable performance improvements.

Joining him is Przem Pruszynski, Ph.D., a globally recognized chemistry expert known for his focus on non-chemical approaches to production efficiency and machine stability. With nearly 100 papers and publications to his name, and past leadership roles in R&D with Dow and Nalco, Przem brings a unique and forward-thinking perspective that challenges traditional approaches and drives innovation.

Completing the instructor team is Scott Rosencrance, Ph.D., Global Vice President of Commercial Development at Kemira. Scott’s extensive career spans leadership roles across sales, marketing, technical applications, regulatory, and R&D. A TAPPI Fellow and recipient of the prestigious George Westinghouse Signature Award, he has authored more than 85 patents and publications and remains deeply involved in shaping the industry through his leadership, editorial contributions, and technical expertise.

Together, these instructors offer more than just knowledge; they provide real-world insights shaped by years of hands-on experience, research, and industry leadership. Their combined expertise ensures that participants gain a well-rounded understanding of wet end chemistry, with practical strategies that can be applied immediately to improve performance, efficiency, and product quality.
