Duni AB (Duni Group) signed an agreement to acquire the UK-based paper tableware producer Poppies Europe Ltd for a fixed purchase price of approximately SEK 670 million, whereof 60 percent will be paid upon closing and the remaining amount will be paid in three instalments by the end of 2025 (20%), 2026 (10%) and 2027 (10%).

US investment company Strategic Value Partners (SVP) has extended the acceptance period for its offer made to acquire Swedish paper manufacturer Nordic Paper. The US firm is giving shareholders until 8 January to decide whether they wish to accept the takeover offer. According to SVP, the deadline, which had already been postponed from 11 to 20 December, will not be extended again.

Packaging Corporation of America (NYSE: PKG) today reported fourth quarter 2024 net income of $221 million, or $2.45 per share, and net income of $222 million, or $2.47 per share, excluding special items. Fourth quarter net sales were $2.1 billion in 2024 and $1.9 billion in 2023. Full year 2024 net income was $805 million, or $8.93 per share, and net income of $814 million, or $9.04 per share, excluding special items. Full year net sales were $8.4 billion in 2024 and $7.8 billion in 2023.
