Fiberglass Mat Forming and Saturator Fabrics: One of Many Topics covered at Industry Event in October

Fiberglass mat forming and saturator fabric designs have evolved throughout the years alongside process technology changes, increasing production outputs and grade changes. In their session at the 2022 Fiberglass Mat Technical Committee Meeting, October 24-27, 2022 in Atlanta, GA, AstenJohnson’s Charles-Andre Sirois and Dustin Leder will:

• Cover the basics of textile fabric designs along with critical properties related to fiberglass mat manufacturing
• Discuss the evolution of forming and saturator fabrics characteristics and properties and how they can be adapted to the necessary balance between process needs, mechanical resistance and sheet properties.
• Offer some insights into how machine clothing will evolve in the future
• Provide machine clothing best practices and safety considerations during installation, startup, operation, and shutdowns
