A pulp and paper mill is a complex, interconnected and massive engineering marvel. Now, you’ll be able to learn how the processes work and why. This workshop provides a broad overview of the basic concepts in pulp and paper manufacturing, including pulping, bleaching, chemical recovery, recycling, papermaking and converting. You'll explore how various processes impact paper properties through both lab exercises and operation of a pilot-plant paper machine. This introductory-level workshop is appropriate for anyone in technical and non-technical roles.
