Spray Nozzle Basics for Papermaking

Description: The Papermakers Committee invites you to attend a webinar on Spray Nozzle Basics. This presentation will provide an intro into the variety of nozzles and manifolds used in papermaking and solutions for most common problems such as nozzle plugging, increasing nozzle lifetime, and lowering water consumption.  Best practices for evaluating nozzle wear and setting up a nozzle maintenance program will also be discussed. 

 

About the Presenter: Benjamin Drummond has been working on product design for spray applications for 10 years with Spraying Systems Co.  There he leads a team for development and release of specialized products for the pulp and paper industry.  He graduated from the University of Illinois- Urbana Champaign with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2005, and currently is co-writing a paper on spray transfer efficiency onto high speed moving webs.
