TAPPICon is an in-person event focused on key industry Tracks including: Coating, Printing and Surface Enhancement, Papermaking Additives, Papermaking Fundamentals, Papermaking Technology & Operations, Management (PIMA), Process Control, Recycled Paperboard (RPTA), and Tissue. The program also addresses topics affecting women in industry (WIN) and young professionals (YP).

A forum for researchers and coating technologists to present their findings concerning coating fundamentals and leading-edge developments related to paper surface treatment, printing operations and functional coatings.

TAPPI’s Tissue Division’s Yankee Dryer Safety and Reliability Committee will host their Spring meeting in Cleveland, Ohio at the Hilton Downtown Cleveland on May 1 – 2, 2024. For those who are unable to attend, there will be a virtual option available via Microsoft Teams for the Business Meeting. Attendance is open to everyone, subject to registration. The Basic Financial Training & Strategic Market Analysis workshop is appropriate for technical and non-technical individuals in the pulp & paper, forest product, and related industries with a desire to evaluate processes, services, and research ideas. This workshop will help you to market your ideas, products, and services utilizing the financial language used by decision-makers in the industry (controllers, directors, mill managers, and vice-presidents).

This two-day class features morning classroom sessions followed by afternoon sessions of guided hands-on exercises using the UW-Stevens Point Fourdrinier pilot paper machine and testing the resulting paper. This combination has proven to be a highly effective and enjoyable way to gain fundamental knowledge of the industrial papermaking process. Class size is limited to 16 for this course to provide ample opportunities for questions and discussion during classroom sessions and hands-on experiences on the paper machine.
