WestRock Production Managers Development Program

Have you ever had one of those days when you discover a project that makes you say; “Wow, I wish I had thought of that one!”?

That happened to me about four years ago. Jay Kaplan of WestRock contacted Kristi Ledbetter to enquire about utilizing a visit to TAPPI’s world headquarters as a portion of their week long development program for their corrugated division’s production managers.

This week Jay and company (18) paid a visit to TAPPI. Their learning objective was to discover how TAPPI can help advance their careers with WestRock.

We broke bread with this group on the famous backyard TAPPI Deck. This group represented 13 states in the US as well as 2 other countries. (Mexico & Canada)

After lunch we ran through a TAPPI presentation that highlighted how they could utilize all that TAPPI offers to further their careers and bring more value to themselves and their company.

In addition, we paid a visit to our training center and library. The session ended with a spirited game of TAPPI Jeopardy Challenge, designed to review how much information they retained from their visit.

Please note: The 6 in bold type are TAPPI’s newest members who joined prior to leaving our office. Because they joined during their visit, they all rang the President’s Bell
