My name is Rachel Olp, and I am a sophomore Chemical Engineering major with the Paper Engineering minor at Miami University. Initially, paper science intrigued me because it provided me the opportunity to apply my chemical engineering skills to the manipulation of a versatile material. After taking multiple classes and learning more about the paper industry as a whole, I am amazed by its competitive yet welcoming community that allows me to grow as a young professional. I am looking forward to working at Georgia Pacific’s technical center in Neenah, Wisconsin, as an engineering intern this coming summer of 2022.
