Winner of the Corrugated Packaging Division Terry S. Paulson Memorial Scholarship

Phillip Loges is a rising senior at Miami University majoring in chemical engineering and minoring in paper engineering.

Following his sophomore year, Phillip worked as a summer intern at Greenpac Mill in Niagara Falls, NY, a state-of-the-art recycled linerboard mill where he got hands-on experience with a new machine, focusing on the approach systems and wet end. He left Greenpac with an even deeper appreciation for both paper engineering and the overall papermaking process, eagerly awaiting his next opportunity to get back in a mill.           

In the first semester of his Junior year, Phillip secured another summer internship within the paper industry, this time with Sonoco in Richmond, VA.

He is looking forward to a career in paper and is excited for all the future opportunities that this great field provides.
