D’Kayla Thomas

Recipient of the 2023-2024 TAPPI Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Scholarship

D’Kayla Thomas is a senior at North Carolina State University pursuing a dual degree in Paper Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering. She comes from a family of STEM students and loved NC State from the first tour. Fall 2023 marks her final semester at the school. She will be graduating in December 2023 and has already connected with the industry and gained valuable work experience. She has worked one co-op and two internships in the industry. Upon graduation, D’Kayla will work full-time as a project manager at Georgia Pacific’s Muskogee, OK facility.
