Elisha Ewing is a fifth year senior at Western Michigan University (WMU) studying chemical engineering and paper engineering. She has served on the Executive Board of the TAPPI Student Chapter at WMU for three years and is excited to serve as President for the duration of the 2024-2025 school year. Elisha has completed three internships including one with Graphic Packaging International in Battle Creek, MI and two with WestRock at their Battle Creek, MI and Evadale, TX locations. Elisha completed her fourth and final internship this summer at WestRock's Mahrt Mill in Cottonton, AL. She has enjoyed each of her experiences in the industry and loves the fast-paced nature of life at the paper mill.

In addition to her involvement with the Paper Engineering program at WMU, Elisha is extremely active on WMU's campus and has served in four different leadership roles with the student government where she works for the improvement of school culture and advocates for the betterment of student life. She is also passionate about holistic wellbeing and has served as a student leader with WMU's Cru movement, a campus ministry organization. Some of the highlights of her college career involve mentoring students through this involvement and learning how to know God personally. Elisha is excited for her final year at WMU and is looking forward to the accomplishments and challenges it brings!
